Garage for Mammotion MASTON: IdeaMower presents protection for the new professional robot
When the scale of the robot changes, the scale of its protection must change too. This is the principle behind the IdeaMower garage designed for Mammotion MASTON, the new professional machine presented for areas up to 40,000 m².
The garage was developed after measuring the dimensions and clearances required by MASTON and was then displayed at the Gornja Radgona fair in Slovenia, together with the robot at the stand of PAB d.o.o., Mammotion importer for Slovenia.
A project designed around the machine
MASTON does not have the proportions of a conventional residential robotic mower. Simply enlarging an existing garage was therefore not enough: geometry, usable clearance, accessibility and manoeuvring space had to be reconsidered from the ground up.
The photographs taken at Gornja Radgona clearly show the relationship between the machine and the structure. The roof provides broad overhead protection, while the supports are positioned laterally to keep the robot’s operating area open.
The result is a structure that matches the dimensions and professional character of MASTON without hiding the machine or turning the garage into a closed enclosure.
Protecting a professional robot means designing infrastructure
In the residential segment, a garage is often considered a simple accessory. With machines of this scale, the concept changes: the parking and charging area becomes part of the installation itself.
Protection must coexist with charging, entry and exit manoeuvres, access for inspections and maintenance requirements. In a professional application these elements cannot be treated separately.
For IdeaMower, the MASTON project therefore represents much more than a new garage: it is a first step towards a family of solutions dedicated to professional robotic mowing for large areas.
From robotic mower garages to a new product category
IdeaMower designs and manufactures garages and accessories for robotic mowers. The arrival of a new generation of professional robots opens an additional field: larger structures, more complex technical installations and a greater need for customisation than in the residential market.
The MASTON project was approached using the same method applied to our product development: start from the real machine, verify its dimensions and clearances, and build the protection around its operating requirements.
The garage at the Gornja Radgona fair
Displaying MASTON together with its garage at Gornja Radgona made it possible to assess the proportions and visual presence of the structure immediately. The contrast between the dark roof and the yellow side elements gives the project a strongly technical identity consistent with the character of the machine.
But the key point is not only aesthetic. The garage has a precise function: to create a dedicated shelter for a professional machine without restricting its operation.
Towards an IdeaMower Professional ecosystem
Robotic mowing is rapidly expanding into professional applications: large private properties, sports facilities, hospitality, managed green spaces and other contexts where operating continuity and installation quality become decisive.
For this reason, IdeaMower is extending its work from the individual cover to a broader concept of infrastructure for professional robots: garages, protection for technical areas, power management and solutions designed around the specific machine and installation.
For us, MASTON marks the beginning of this new phase. A new machine requires new accessories designed with the same professional logic.
